These professional standard xylophone mallets have barrel hard heads made from beech, shaped to maximise surface area contact when playing. This helps to produce a louder, broader tone and the hard beech will ensure a satisfying clunk! The heads are also quite lightweight which ensures a lot of control over a surprisingly large range dynamics.
